Home Treatment for Anemia

There are many home treatment for anemia available which can be followed along with the regular medication.

What is anemia?
Anemia is condition of deficiency of red blood cells or hemoglobin causing weariness.

Symptoms of anemia:
Tiredness, feeling of laziness, difficulty in breathing, palpitations and poor concentration.

Causes of anemia:
Anemia could be caused due to excessive menstrual bleeding, iron deficiency  chronic diseases, kidney problems, malnutrition etc.

Home remedies treatment for anemia:
  • Eating dates soaked in honey helps in increasing the hemoglobin levels and also fighting against diseases.

  • Include cucumber regularly in your diet as cucumber is rich in Potassium.

  • Drinking fruit juices like apple juice and vegetable juices like beetroot and spinach is a very good home remedy for anemia.

  • Including leafy green vegetables like spinach , salad, fenugreek, bananas, apple, pomegranate, carrots, grapes, gooseberry, tomatoes and honey helps in iron deficiency.

  • Honey which is rich in iron helps to increase the hemoglobin in the blood.

  • Taking food rich in vitamin C helps in the absorption of iron. Amla provides natural vitamin C.

  • Deep breathing and light exercise like walking also is a good to increases the blood level.

  • Nuts helps to fight anemia.  Eating almonds helps in the synthesis of hemoglobin.
