Home Remedies for Loss of Appetite


  • Peel 1 to 3 grams of ginger, add a small amount of salt and chew this half-an-hour before meals. Eat like this once a day for 8 days.

  • Taking guava with salt and black pepper helps in increasing appetite.

  • Take a glass of pomegranate juice with black pepper and black salt.

  • Taking tomato soup half an hour before meals increases appetite.

  • Salad containing cucumber, radish, tomato, onion, cabbage, carrot with black salt and few drops of lemon juice on it helps in increasing appetite.

  • Another effective home remedy is, boil tamarind in water along with black pepper, a piece of clove and cardamom, sieve it, allow it to cool and drink to get a good appetite.
