Heat and Hair Loss

There are some people who get very much affected due to hot surroundings. Some people have more sweating on the scalp than others leading to itching and scratching on the scalp, resulting in hair loss. Itching and hair loss may also result due to higher heat levels during summers. Here are some precautions one can take against itching scalp:

1. Keep the scalp very clean.

2. People who have high scalp sweat should wash their head twice a day and it is nothing wrong in doing so.

3. Do not apply oil as it will worsen the situation.

4. If you have the habit of wearing helmet, tie a scarf and then wear your helmet to prevent hair loss due to excessive sweat.

5. Keep a check on your diet. In stead of drinking artifical cool drinks, have natural drinks like tender coconut.
