Menopause is the permenant stoppage of periods which results in the end of her reproductive cycle and gives a very traumatic experience to a woman. The symptoms includes hot flushes, sweating during the night, depression, anxiety, mood swings, skin dryness and slepplessness. After menopause, women are also most vulnerable to bone loss and heart disease. The Harmonal Replacement Therapy has many risks but there are many home remedies which one can follow at home.

  • Consuming boiled drumsticks which has the same hormones in a woman are very good for getting rid of Hot Flashes.
  • The vegetables which are rich in vitamin C, like broccoli, beet greens, peppers, parsley, salad greens, citrus fruits, melons, berries, and apricots gives relief from hot flushes.
  • Liquorice powder taken daily helps during menopausal disorders, as it is rich in the harmone estrogen.
  • Carrot seeds boiled in a glass of cow's milk helps to eliminate menopause symptoms.
  • Menopause results in calcium insufficiency in the body. So it is necessary to take calcium supplements everyday.

Acne and Sweet tooth

  • A high glycemic diet can aggravate acne. Apart from sweets and direct sugars, french fries, baked potatoes, and aerated drinks should be avoided.
  • The intake of the above food not only increases the sugar level but also increases the oil production in the skin resulting in clogging of pores and makes it a good environment for the bacteria to grow and cause acne.
  • You can replace refined sugars with natural sugars found in fruits and vegetables.

Home Remedies for hair with split ends

One of the common problems faced by many people is damaged hair with split ends. Follow this simple home remedy to get rid of this problem.

Ingredients required:
2 tsp of castor oil,
1 raw egg,
2 tsp of lemon juice and
1 tsp of glycerine.

Mix all these ingredients well using a egg beater. Massage this preparation well in to the scalp of your hair. Wear a plastic shower cap and rinse your hair after half an hour. Wash your hair thoroughly so that there will not be any clogging on the pores. Repeat this till the split ends completely removed.

Henna Treatment for Hair loss

During summers the main problem one faces is excess sweating in the scalp which leads to hair loss. Henna helps to keep your hair healthy during summers and also helps to bring down the body heat. You can use the following preparation with Henna:
  • 4tsp lemon juice
  • 4tsp cofee
  • 2 raw eggs
  • 1 tsp of methi seed powder
  • Tea water to mix ( Boil the tea leaves in enough water, cool and strain the liquid)
Add all the above ingredients to Henna and make it into a thick paste. Apply this paste on the hair and wash off after an hour. In case you do not want to use eggs, increase the quantitty of tea water.
